Problem: 404.15 Error Launching P2 Explorer for the first time
Description: When launching P2 Explorer for the first time, an HTTP Error 404.15 – Not Found appears and Explorer will not load.
Cause: This is due to a login token being passed back and forth between Security and Explorer, until the URL becomes too long. This behaviour can have several causes, the most common being the application name has not been registered with Security using the Explorer Configuration tool.
Resolution: Ensure the application name is correctly registered with P2 Security.
- Open the P2 Explorer Configuration tool.
- Click the Security
- Check the Application Name is correct, and click Test Connection.
- If you get an error message, click Register Application.
- Enter the credentials for a Security Administrator into the Register Application dialog box and click Create.
- Reload P2 Explorer.
