P2 Sentinel 4.6 incorporates Explorer's security framework into the core Sentinel product, allowing better integration between the two applications. It also moves the Case Management web interface into Explorer, which allows for easier management of cases via an improved web experience.
P2 Sentinel version 4.6.4 is a patch release, which addresses some issues raised by customers and is compatible with Explorer 4.8.0.
Compatibility with P2 Explorer
P2 Sentinel 4.6.4 is compatible with P2 Explorer 4.7.0 and P2 Explorer 4.8.0.
Engine Performance
This version of Sentinel includes a number of performance enhancements to the Sentinel processing Engine.
Monitor Run Indicator
The number of monitors that can process simultaneously is specified in the ‘MonitorThreadCount’ configuration setting. If the number of monitors running is greater than this setting, then some monitors will need to wait until a processing slot becomes available.
If a monitor is waiting for a processing slot, the Monitor running icon is faded to indicate that the Monitor is running but is waiting for its turn in processing to begin.
The Monitor Status page will also now show a ‘(waiting)’ status if the monitor is waiting to process.
