A-Plus version 4.21 adds the following enhancements:
- Split events from the A-Plus entry table in workbooks.
- Split events from the entry dialog.
- Action button functions in the entry dialog.
Note: Before upgrading, always make sure your Environment has met Explorer minimum hardware requirements, as these are constantly evolving as additional capabilities are added.
Split Event from A-Plus Entry Table in Workbooks
In workbooks, the A-Plus Entry component now provides the ability to split events, similar to the functionality available in A-Plus.
The split option has been added to the ellipsis menu in the A-Plus entry table and has the same security privileges as A-Plus. If any of the user's roles have contribute privileges on the workbook, the Split option becomes available, and the event can be split.
Split Event from Entry Dialog
Users can now split an event directly from the A-Plus entry dialog, whether it is opened from A-Plus or Shift Log.
When an event is split using the dialog, the new split event opens over the existing event, and both dialogs remain open for editing. The end time of the initial event is updated in real-time to match the start time of the new split event, and this change is reflected in both open dialogs.
The split option is not available if:
- The entry dialog contains unsaved changes – users must save the entry to enable the split option.
- The event is closed – the event can be re-opened to enable splitting.
Action Buttons in Entry Dialog
In Shift Log, administrators can create action buttons which allow users to easily share or create entries using specific criteria. This feature has now been added to A-Plus entries.
With this enhancement, users can now easily create Log, Case, or General entries that have preconfigured fields, and share them with other workbooks.
The action buttons are located in the upper right corner of the dialog, below the close and help icons.
The ellipsis next to the help icon provides the ability for administrators to create and edit action buttons and requires the same security privileges as Shift Log.
