Shift Log is part of the IFS OI framework, and is available in two modes: Shift Log (Explorer) and Shift Log (Field Operator).
Shift Log (Explorer) requires a local network connection with IFS OI Explorer. It is typically used on desktop or laptop computers, but is also supported on tablet devices.
Shift Log (Field Operator) is a specialized version supporting data capture in the field, by field workers. It does not require a network connection, and is typically used on laptops or Android tablet devices.
All configuration of Shift Log, for both modes, is done in Explorer. This means all the workbooks, forms and fields that are used in Shift Log (Field Operator) are configured in Explorer and Server Management.
