P2 Explorer version 4.9 is a minor release that redefines the Trending Tool technology and adds frequently requested enhancements to the trend. This release also improves the performance of the Data Table and supports further enhancements to Shift Log.

Explorer 4.9.5 adds minor enhancements and addresses some reported issues found in previous releases.

Configuration Settings for Tuning the Data Broker

When a lot of data is being requested from a datasource with latency issues, it was possible for Explorer to run out of memory when users set the sample method to Adaptive Raw.

Previously, the Data Broker would attempt to retrieve all of the data being requested, and the amount of data was too big for the available memory.

Administrators can now fine tune the maximum amount of data points that can be requested per tag, and the maximum percentage of adaptors which can be allocated in an adaptor pool to process low priority requests.

Entity Geolocation

In P2 Server Management, you are now able to specify geographical coordinates for Entities. This lays the groundwork for location awareness of entities and exciting visualizations to come.
