Security Server Fails to Validate

This article applies to P2 Explorer versions 4.3.0-4.5.5.

Problem: Security Server fails to validate

Description: In the Security tab of the P2 Server Configuration utility, after clicking the “Test Connection” or “Register Application” button, a message appears stating that the Security server declined the request to perform automatic validation of the configuration.

Cause: P2 Security has not been properly configured.

Resolution: In P2 Security:

  1. Turn off Lockdown mode.
  2. Enable implicit domain authentication.
