Configuring a Component

Components are configured in the Module tab of the properties panel.

The Module tab is automatically activated when you click on a process component. It describes the type of component and allows you to specify properties that are specific to the component. Component properties are described in the relevant section in Component Logic Functions.

Here are some of the properties a component may have:

Num Inputs / Num Outputs

Allows you to specify the number of input (or output) pins for the component.

Name

Allows you to specify the name of the component.

Case sensitive comparison

Allows strings to be compared on the basis of upper and lower-case letters.

Memory Key

The identifier for an item in memory.

Metadata Keys

Allows you to add additional data to the event, which can be viewed in the event report for the monitor in Sentinel.

State

The name of the state that the event causes.

Default State

Specify the selected state in the process as the default or "normal" state for the process.

Components may also have other properties. For a full list of the properties for each component, refer to Component Logic Functions.
