Trend Toolbar

• Use Save when saving a trend for the first time, or for saving updates to a previously saved trend.
• Save As is used to assign a new name to a previously saved trend.
• Snapshot saves the current selections of the trend, which can then be retrieved at a later date from the trend's preview in its workspace, or from My Environment. You must save the trend first before taking a snapshot.

Note: You can only save a trend to a Workspace that you have edit privileges for. 

Save the tag metadata values for all tags and attribute values that are displayed in the trace table, including Min, Max, Units and Description. The Save Metadata button becomes available only when a trace has been added to the Trend Window.

Note: You need Tag Edit privileges to save the metadata.

Click to open the submission form. Fill in the required details and click Submit to send the trend for approval. 

Note: The Submit button becomes available only after the trend has been saved.

Once a trend has been submitted, it appears in the Pages and Trends Pending Approval section in My Environment.

When opened from this list, Approve and Reject buttons become available in the Trend Toolbar for users with admin privileges.

To approve or reject a trend, hover over the item and click the appropriate action button.

• Refresh Data updates the data points in the trend.
• Reset Trend reloads the entire trend and resets the data back to its original state.

• From the Share Link dialog box, you can copy the trend's URL and share the link with other users.
• From the Print dialog box, you have a choice of output destinations depending on your setup. 

Export the trend's data to a .csv file for downloading.

Note: Read more about the trend's data in the Trend Controls topic. Time range, sample method, and sample interval all determine what data is fetched. This is the data that is then exported. So, if, for example, the Adaptive Raw sample method is selected, the trend will only export the rendered data, not all of the raw data.

• Log to plot data on a logarithmic scale.
• Linear to plot data on a linear scale.

Note: If a trend includes data points of zero, then instead of showing an error for the Log Scale Type, Explorer plots a point that is close to zero and displays this as zero.

• Select Separate for each trace to be plotted against its own axis.
• Select Shared for all traces on the Left Y-Axis (L) to be plotted against a single, shared Left Y-Axis, and all traces on the Right Y-Axis (R) to be plotted against a single, shared Right Y-Axis.
• Select Multiple to view a separate Y-axis for every trace on the trend. The axis is the same colour as the trace.

Select either Single Chart or Stacked Chart.

• Single Chart (the default) displays all traces in one chart.
• Stacked Chart displays up to five charts, stacked vertically. The chart each trace is assigned to is determined by its assigned stack number.
  

• Time Series mode (the default) displays time series data as values in time along the x-axis in the trace window.
• Duration mode is used to view Time Windows and has the effect of changing the x-axis so that it starts at 0, and represents a period of time, rather than a time range.
• XY mode plots one range of values on the x-axis, and the other along the y-axis.

Select to display comment (triangular) and case (square) markers on the trend.

• Comments associated with an entity, with an attribute plotted on a trend, are indicated by matching coloured triangles on the X-axis.
• Cases associated with an entity that has an attribute plotted on a trend, are indicated by matching coloured squares on the X-axis.

Hover over a marker to display a tool tip and click on a marker to open the case or comment in the Explore panel.
